This $1.1 million upgrade, undertaken in partnership with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield showcases our community commitment to improving facilities while preserving the charm of our beloved local spaces.
Alongside the local council, Beek Build was at the forefront of this upgrade, ensuring the new facilities are modern, accessible and respectful of the cultural heritage.
A key highlight of this project is the preservation of the iconic murals by Kaz Pedersen and Helen Kavanagh. After conducting community engagement surveys, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield discovered that a major concern for local residents was the preservation of the iconic mural. Using modern technologies, we worked hard with the architect's at SMFA to scan the mural prior to demolition and integrate the artwork in the new design ensuring that the spirit of Largs Bay's community and its history continue to thrive in the new structure.
Our collaboration with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council highlights the benefits of combining innovation with local values. The new toilet facilities, featuring contemporary design and Changing Places amenities, are making Largs Bay a more inclusive and accessible destination.
